Me
In 2014, my parents gave me
a Canon 600D camera, and that's where it all began.
My works have been part of the Official Selection at IMEFF and the International Tour Film Festival, and I have even made the long list for the «Nika» Award.
I'm Katrine Pil, a documentary film director with four years of experience. I possess skills in video editing, cinematography, screenwriting and production.
Over the past five years, I have collaborated with bloggers, researchers, and respected companies such as Moonly, Nike, Elivosk, and UNOde50, creating original documentary films that have received recognition at various festivals.

My portfolio includes short promo-videos for platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, as well as extensive full-length documentary features.

In each film, my signature style combines emotion with detailed sound design, lively camera work, and impactful editing.

Each of my works reflects a deep sense of aesthetics and cinematography. I explore the interconnections between human existence and actions, focusing on what evokes a sense of freedom.
I'm drawn to authentic stories, traveling the world as a creator and global nomad. Through this journey, I intimately connect with characters, capturing the essence of human experiences through contemporary visual language.
My works showcase the relationship between individuals and nature, as well as the transformative power of travel on people. With experience shooting in over 30 countries, I constantly challenge myself to grow and evolve.

Additionally, I'm a nomadic blogger with 33k followers on Instagram. My audience often attests that I inspire action.

«Wind Rises | Beat Film Festival x Tochka bank», the film tells the story of entrepreneurs Maxim Pinigin and Alexander Skolkov —how two enthusiasts created a business that destroys stereotypes about the highcost of sailing and the way to travel. The characters share their inspiring story ofhow a hobby turns into a life's work. In this project, my responsibilities encompassed the direction and editing aspects. The film was shot in Vladivostok, and we collaborated with the top production company in Moscow, Stereotactic.

«Forest Stories», Research film about how contact with the forest can affect one's sense of self and quality of life. It covers the stories of 10 very different people: digital nomads,spiritual practitioners, shamans and scientists. In this project, my responsibilities encompassed the direction and editing aspects. The movie was a charity project from the creators of the Moonly app (more than 3 million users).

«Freedom», Debut film, full-length film.The film «Freedom» is an inspiring portrayal of individuals embracing their true selves, featuring personalities such as Ilya Voskresenskiy, Ruslan Jaguar, and Larissa Parfentieva. Filmed in 40 countries, it has made a significant impact, reaching audiences in Poland, Portugal, Italy, India, and China. The film has garnered recognition at prestigious events, such as the Nika Film Awards. We won a grant of 1.5 million rubles for the creation of this film.

Elivosk YouTube channel, I write scripts and edit videos for a popular blogger in Russia, and since our collaboration began, his audience has grown by +36,000 subscribers within three months and his videos began to gain from 250 thousand to 1.5 million views. Proficient in creating engaging and viral content, I possess a deepunderstanding of captivating storytelling and effective video production for onlineplatforms.

Worked as a VFX producer at a leading CGF company specializing in visual effectsand animation for film and advertising. Produced an advertisement for "IKEA" with director Ilya Naishuller and created a teaser for the artist PHARAOH. In Carboncore I worked with Hyundai, Ikea, Pyaterochka, MTS, Zatecky Gus.
